Tomato medallions are a very impressive snack on the festive table made from the simplest ingredients. It's very easy to make and looks like a restaurant. Choose tomatoes for medallions that are dense, not watery, then the filling will hold up well after being cut. Choose a dry and not very fatty sausage. If you don't want to cut the sausage, you can grate it with a coarse grater.

How to make

1. Wash and dry the tomatoes and onion leaves.

2. Finely chop the sausage and put it in a bowl.

3. Add softened butter to the bowl with the sausage.

4. Finely chop the onion leaves and put them in a bowl.

5. Grate the cheese on a medium or fine grater and add to a bowl with sausage, butter and onion. Mix everything well, if necessary, salt the mass.

6. Cut off the tops of the tomatoes and scoop out the middle. If the tomatoes are juicy, wipe the inside with a paper towel.

7. Stuff the tomatoes carefully with the filling and place in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours. Cut the tomatoes into medallions and serve.
