This is one of our family's favorite dishes. Most often we cook on weekends, when all relatives gather. Everyone is pleased to indulge in such delicious, juicy, soft and fragrant bell peppers. Many of my friends bake this dish in the oven, but I personally only cook stewed bell peppers, because this way the dish gets much juicier, and peppers themselves become very soft. Otherwise, my recipe for stewed bell peppers with minced meat is quite traditional, the taste of this dish should appeal to many, so be sure to cook.

How to make

1. So, cut off the tops of the peppers, remove the seeds from them and thoroughly wash the vegetables under running water.

2. Add garlic, salt and spices to the pestle. Crush everything until smooth.

3. Now cut the tomatoes into small pieces and mix with sour cream and half a mixture of garlic and spices. Add half a liter of water, bay leaf and a spoonful of vegetable oil to the sauce, mix everything thoroughly.

4. We mix the onion fried to a golden brown color and the pre-cooked rice (rather, even slightly undercooked) with the minced meat. Add the remaining mixture of garlic and spices to the mince, salt to taste. We mix everything well.

5. Stuff each bell pepper with the prepared meat filling.

6. We distribute the peppers into a saucepan or pan with thick walls, cover the peppers from above with previously cut caps.

7. Pour tomato and sour cream sauce into the pan and put it over high heat.

8. As soon as the liquid boils, reduce the heat to a minimum, cover with a lid and simmer the peppers for 40-45 minutes.
