Since childhood, many people have bad associations with pearl barley. I didn't like them at all because they were soft and weird in texture. But it's time to revive these grains and create a culinary masterpiece from them. Having been choosing a recipe for a long time, I decided to combine the ingredients known to everyone, although here they play a new role. How to make

1. Sort the groats in advance. Then soak in water for 2 hours. Cut the onion for porridge into half rings, and the carrots into strips.

2. Heat the oil in the cauldron. Fry the onion in it until tender.

3. Then add carrots, chicken cut into medium pieces, cumin, salt, bell pepper and pepper to the onion. Cook the ingredients together, stirring, for 5 minutes.

4. After that, pour pearl barley into the cauldron. Put peeled garlic cloves on the surface. Pour boiling water until it is 1 cm above the ingredients. Simmer covered over low heat for 40 minutes.

5. While the porridge is boiling make the sauce. Finely chop the onion and mushrooms.

6. Fry the onion in a pan until golden brown. Then add mushrooms to it and add flour, quickly mix the ingredients. Then pour the broth. Boil everything until thickened, adding dill, salt and pepper.
