A thin sandy base goes well with the delicate pumpkin filling, such a cake can become a decoration of the festive table. But since it easy to prepare, it is also suitable for everyday dessert. For the base, I added white sugar to the dough, and brown to the pumpkin filling is optional. If you wish, you can add white sugar both to the filling and to the dough. Walnuts, in my opinion, go very well with pumpkin in desserts, like ground nutmeg, so do not neglect these ingredients - the overall taste is much brighter and more interesting.

How to make

1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Butter should be well cooled, so remove it from the refrigerator just before starting work.

2. Peel the pumpkin and remove the seeds, cut into pieces, put in a saucepan, pour water and cook over medium heat until tender.

3. Put all the flour in a blender bowl, put the iced butter cut into pieces.

4. Turn on the device for 30-40 seconds, and then you get crumbs of fine flour.

5. Pour all the flour crumbs from a blender into a large bowl, add white sugar, one egg yolk and cold water.

6. Knead soft and flexible dough.

7. Line the baking sheet with baking paper. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin in the form of a circle, in proportion to the size of the baking dish, leaving more space for the sides. Transfer the rolled dough to the bottom of the mold and form the base for the future cake with edges 4-5 cm high. Beat the dough with a fork.

8. Put the boiled pumpkin in a blender bowl (after draining the water), add brown sugar.

9. Add cottage cheese, nutmeg, starch, beat two eggs.

10. Turn on the device for about 1 minute and you will get a homogeneous mixture of creamy consistency.

11. Using a knife, finely chop the walnut kernels.

12. Put the pumpkin mixture from a blender bowl in a bowl, add finely chopped nuts to it and mix everything. The filling is ready.

13. Put the whole pumpkin filling on a previously prepared crumbly dough base and level it with a spoon.

14. If after the formation of the base there is still an excess of dough left, decorations can be made from it. I rolled out the rest of the dough and cut out the asterisks in a cookie mold. I distribute the dough asterisks on the surface of the pumpkin filling. Place the completed form in the oven, already preheated to 180 degrees, bake for 45 minutes.

15. Cool the baked pumpkin pie well, if desired, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar, and only then start chopping in portions.
