Strawberry season has begun, and tangerines have not yet disappeared from the stores. I suggest preparing a fragrant and bright compote for the winter. Compote is perfectly stored all year round in a cool place, for example, in the basement.

How to make

1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Sort the strawberries, removing spoiled and rotten berries, wash and dry. Wash the tangerine with hot water.

2. Wash the one-liter jar thoroughly with soda in hot water and sterilize it in any convenient way. Boil the iron lid on medium heat for 5 minutes.

3. Remove the stems from the strawberries, put the berries in a jar.

4. Peel the tangerine from the peel and white veins. Cut into slices, remove the seeds and place in a jar.

5. Boil water and fill the contents of the jar to the top. Cover the jar with a lid and leave for 10 minutes.

6. Pour the liquid from the jar into a pot, add sugar and bring to a boil.

7. Pour the boiling syrup back into the jar and immediately close the boiled lid.

8. Turn the jar upside down and wrap it until it cools completely.
