Samogitian pancakes has been one of my favorite dishes since childhood. I will tell you how to make Samogitian pancakes stuffed with minced meat. In addition to minced meat, you can use pieces of meat, as well as mushrooms, cheese with herbs, other vegetables and even pate. These pancakes are served hot, with sour cream or white sauce.

How to make

1. Peel the potatoes and wash them well.

2. Put the potatoes in a saucepan and pour water, add a tablespoon of salt and, after boiling, cook until tender.

3. Drain the potatoes, then crush into a puree, then mix with flour and salt.

4. Put the finished potato dough in a bowl and set aside when preparing the filling.

5. Peel the onion and chop finely.

6. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan. Add the onion and fry until browned.

7. In a separate bowl, salt and add pepper to the mince, stir.

8. Add the mince to the onion in the pan, mix.

9. Cook the minced meat over low heat for about 20 minutes

10. Take a small amount of potatoes, form a pancake from them. Put a small amount of stuffing in the center.

11. Squeeze the filling on all sides to look like a cake. Put starch on a plate (you can use flour or breadcrumbs), roll pancakes in it.

12. Do the same with the rest of the dough and filling.

13. Heat the pan with a little vegetable oil. Place the pancake on a well-heated surface.

14. Fry the pancakes on both sides until golden brown.
