If you like spicy beetroot salad, I recommend trying the Red Velvet Salad. They are much milder than just beets with cheese and a more interesting appearance. The salad looks very elegant, so it can be served on the festive table without fear. If you are worried that the beets will be too watery when cooked, roast them in the oven. You can add herbs to the curd mass according to your taste.

How to make

1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients to make Red Velvet Salad.

2. Boil the beets until soft, cool and peel. Grate the beets with a coarse grater.

3. Put cottage cheese, chopped garlic and sour cream in a bowl. Blend everything with a blender until smooth.

4. Squeeze the juice well from the beets. Place the serving ring on a dish and arrange 1/3 of the grated beetroot, pressing it down with a spoon.

5. Spread half of the cottage cheese over the beets and spread evenly.

6. Place another 1/3 of the beets on top of the curd mass and smooth it out. Add the rest of the cottage cheese and make the top layer of beets. Refrigerate the salad for one hour, then remove the ring and serve.
