Due to its sweetness, pumpkin is most often associated with desserts. But today I will tell you how to make a pumpkin in the oven with meat. A very tasty, hearty and fragrant dish is obtained. And most importantly , the simplest ingredients are used for this: carrots, onions, meat and, of course, pumpkin. Carrots and onions are baked with meat, and then baked in the oven along with pumpkin. What could be easier?

How to make

1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Wash the pumpkin, remove the seeds and peel it.

2. Cut small onions into half rings, large ones into quarters.

3. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

4. Cut the meat into small pieces. Do not grind too much, it should feel good in the prepared dish.

5. In a small amount of sunflower oil, fry the onion with carrots. When they become soft, lay out the meat, add water and simmer until the meat is half cooked.

6. Cut the pumpkin into medium-sized pieces. The pumpkin should be cut quite coarsely compared to how you normally cut potatoes, as it is much softer and cooks much faster.

7. Put the baked meat with vegetables in a heat-resistant ceramic form.

8. Put pumpkin, salt and pepper on top. You can also put bay leaf and your favorite spices.

9. Cover the form with foil and put the container to bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes.
