Very tasty and unusual pickled herring rolls. Such a dish will decorate any table. Herring can be prepared in a variety of ways, and all dishes are delicious. Marinated herring rolls are made with melted cheese and apples and pickled onions: all the ingredients are perfectly combined with each other. Garnish with herbs before serving.

How to make

1. We only need a few ingredients for these rolls. If you have a herring fillet, you can use it, if not, make the fillet yourself.

2. Prepare a piece of herring fillet. Pour some vinegar and rub the whole piece.

3. Cover with cling film and beat a little with a hammer.

4. In a separate bowl, mash the processed cheese with a fork. This will be our filling, and in the meantime, marinate the onions.

5. Marinate the onion for 10 minutes. I choose a classic marinade: vinegar, salt and sugar to taste.

6. Place melted cheese, grated apple and pickled onion on the surface of the fillet.

7. Wrap the herring fillet in cling film and gently press it with your hands. Leave in the fridge for 30 minutes.

8. Cut the roll and remove the cling film.

9. Cut the bread into round pieces (white or black - at your discretion). This will be the basis of our rolls.
