An excellent quick recipe for mackerel, which uses onions, garlic, salt, sugar, vinegar, spices and vegetable oil. Fish is prepared for at least 12 hours in advance, but you can leave it longer. Spices include pepper peas, bay leaf and fish seasoning (optional). This lightly salted, mackerel will decorate any festive table.
