Kalzone is a closed crescent-shaped pizza with various and always juicy additives. This pizza is very convenient to eat while traveling, but at the same time it can ideally replace a hearty lunch and dinner. If you wish, you can also add chopped fresh herbs to the main ingredients.

How to make
-
1. Prepare all the ingredients.
-
2. In a bowl, rub the yeast with your fingers, add sugar and warm water. Mix all these ingredients with a whisk until completely dissolved.
-
-
3. Add 2 tablespoons of flour to the yeast mixture. Stir with a whisk and leave the bowl with this mixture for 15-20 minutes.
-
4. After 15-20 minutes, the yeast will begin to act and a sparkling mixture will come to the fore.
-
5. Then sift all the flour into the yeast mixture, add salt and vegetable oil.
-
-
6. Knead the soft dough that does not stick to your hands and let stand for half an hour.
-
7. Then divide all the dough into two equal parts. Roll out one part of the dough thinly using a rolling pin (for me, the diameter is 26 cm).
-
-
8. Wash the tomatoes, dry with a kitchen towel and cut into thin semicircles. Put a few pieces of tomatoes on half of the rolled dough.
-
9. Cut the ham into small cubes or sticks and put half on the tomatoes.
-
10. Grate the cheese and spread half on the ham.
-
-
11. Cover the filling with a loose portion of the rolled dough. Glue the edges with your fingers or a fork. Do exactly the same with the rest of the dough and filling.
-
12. Lay out two calzones on a baking sheet, make several incisions on each so that steam comes out, brush the surface with a beaten egg and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
-
13. Ready calzone is best served hot.
