Stewed rabbit legs is a dish specially designed for those who keep an eye on their body and weight, but really like to have a delicious meal. Rabbit meat is easy to digest and tastes as good as pork. Stewed rabbit legs are probably the most appetizing dish I know how to make. This dish, as practice shows, is not suitable for children (due to the large amount of mustard, although it loses its spiciness during cooking), but is very suitable for adults. You can cook stewed rabbit legs in 90 minutes.

How to make

1. After cutting the rabbit, all the resulting pieces must be thoroughly washed and dried with a paper towel. Rub each piece thoroughly with salt and pepper.

2. Finely chop the garlic and cut the onion into thin half rings.

3. Place the pan over low heat and fry the pieces in oil on both sides until golden brown.

4. Place the baked pieces on a plate.

5. Then fry the onion in the same pan until tender. They should acquire an attractive brown tint.

6. Fry the onion for about 15 minutes, then add garlic to it, fry stirring for a few more minutes. Then pour in the wine, broth and mustard. We reduce the heat to a minimum. Put the rabbit pieces back and add the thyme. Cover with a lid and leave to simmer for about 50 minutes.

7. After simmering, remove the meat and put it on a plate. Proceed to the preparation of the sauce.

8. First, cook over high heat for about 5 minutes, bring to a boil.

9. Then pour in sour cream and finely chopped herbs, mix everything thoroughly. Turn off the fire.

10. Return the rabbit to the sauce, brush and serve.
