Cabbage soup is known all over the world, but in each country it is served and called differently! Due to the smoked meats, this soup is very saturated, sauerkraut cabbage gives sourness, and mushrooms gives flavor. The preparation will take a couple of hours, but the dish will be very hearty! It is best to serve sauerkraut soup with mushrooms with sour cream or yogurt. Spices can also be varied. Instead of ham, smoked sausages are perfect. How to make

1. Take the smoked ham and put it in a saucepan. Fill with water. Put bay leaf, salt, pepper. Let it boil. Then leave to boil for 30 minutes.

2. Finely chop the onion. Put in a preheated pan with sunflower oil. Fry the onion until it becomes soft.

3. Add the paprika, stir and set aside the pan.

4. Add sauerkraut to the broth.

5. Then add mushrooms, onions, garlic. Cover with a lid and cook for another 30 minutes over low heat.

6. remove the ham from the broth. Finely cut the meat into cubes.

7. Put the crushed ham back in a saucepan and simmer for another 20 minutes.
