How to make

1. Prepare all the ingredients. Peel the onion and garlic. Also peel and wash the potatoes.

2. Cut the potatoes into small pieces, put in a saucepan, pour water, cook until tender, strain.

3. Put boiled potatoes in a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of salt. With a blender, rub all the potatoes into a puree.

4. Break an egg into a slightly cooled mashed potato and add flour.

5. Knead the potato dough with your hands.

6. Roll out balls the size of a small walnut from the whole potato dough.

7. Prepare the sauce. Finely chop the onion and put in a pan with vegetable oil. Cook over medium heat until gently golden, stirring constantly with a spatula.

8. Add 2 teaspoons of flour to the onion and, stirring intensively with a spatula, continue to fry everything together for another couple of minutes.

9. In a separate bowl, beat the water and tomato sauce until smooth.

10. Pour the tomato mixture into the pan with fried onions and flour, add 1 teaspoon of salt and spices. Next, simmer everything together over low heat, stirring with a spatula until noticeably thickened.

11. At the same time, in a small saucepan, boil 1-2 liters of water and put all the potato balls in actively boiling water. We boil the potato balls from the moment they float for 3-4 minutes, then we catch all the prepared potato balls in a colander and put them on a plate.

12. And we add coarsely grated cheese and garlic squeezed through a garlic press to the sauce thickened in a pan. Stir everything vigorously with a spatula and remove the pan from the heat. The sauce is ready.
