Treasure is a national dish of Georgian cuisine. In this version, in my opinion, vegetables, celery stalk, spices, and red beans are ideally combined. The result is a tasty and healthy dish. This dish, which is made mainly from red beans, and sometimes from white or green beans. You can cook both with meat and vegetarian. In order for the dish to acquire a real Georgian flavor, suneli hops and dried spices and herbs are added to the treasure. Celery stalk is also widely used in Georgian cuisine, gives the treasure dish an incredible aroma and pleasant taste. You can use any beans, even asparagus. If desired, use coriander instead of parsley, you can also add a little fresh mint and basil. Replace canned tomatoes, if desired, with fresh ones, if slightly sour, then add a little sugar. Before cooking, it is advisable to dry the walnuts for a couple of minutes in a dry frying pan, so they will reveal their aroma and taste.

How to make

1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Boil the beans the day before or use canned.

2. Peel the onion and cut it into cubes. Wash the celery, dry it and chop it finely. Heat the oil in a pan, add onion and celery and fry for a couple of minutes until tender.

3. Remove the seeds of peppers, cut the pulp into thin short strips. Cut the garlic into small pieces. Put them in a pan and fry for a couple of minutes.

4. Add canned tomatoes to the vegetables in the pan.

5. Add spices, pour about 1/2 glass of water and stew vegetables for 5 minutes.

6. Add the beans without liquid, stir, simmer everything for another couple of minutes.

7. Cut the walnuts into small pieces, finely chop the greens.

8. Salt and pepper the prepared treasure to taste, add nuts and herbs, stir and remove from the stove. Cover with a lid and let stand for 10-15 minutes.
