Blueberries and apples complement each other perfectly, especially in jam. The berries give an amazing color, and the apples give it a taste and texture. If you want to wash the blueberries before boiling the jam, be sure to dry the berries. Apples are best suited hard and sour. Ready jam can be laid out in jars hot or completely cooled, but the jars must be sterilized and completely dry. If you lay out the jam hot, be sure to turn it over and leave it until completely cooled.
