Pear compote we prepare without sterilization - a delicious homemade drink that will appeal to everyone, especially children. Pears can be used any variety, compote is well stored in the pantry. Pear compote can be enriched with various spices, add a slice of lemon or a couple of mint leaves. In any case, fragrant compote can be served with desserts and pastries.

How to make

1. Prepare the ingredients. Sterilize the jar in a convenient way - in the oven or over steam.

2. Wash and dry the pears, cut into slices. Remove the core from the pears.

3. Transfer the pears to a sterile jar.

4. Pour the pears with boiling water. Cover the jar with a lid and leave for 10 minutes.

5. After a while, drain the water, bring to a boil and return to the jar again for 15 minutes.

6. Pour water into a saucepan for the last time, add sugar and citric acid, cook for 30 seconds.

7. Pour the compote back into the jar, immediately tightly screw the jar with a lid, turn it upside down, cover with a blanket and leave for a day until completely cooled. After that, store the compote in the pantry.
