1. These products will be needed to prepare the pate. Before cooking, chicken liver should be thoroughly cleaned and soaked in milk for 8 hours.

2. Finely chop the bacon and fry in half the butter until gently browned. Peel the onion and garlic, cut as thinly as possible and add to the bacon. Fry until the onion becomes transparent.

3. After 8 hours, remove the liver from the milk, dry with paper towels. Put the liver in a pan.

4. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Add cognac and set on fire. Do this carefully so as not to get burned. The flame will burn for 30 seconds.

5. Transfer the contents of the pan to the bowl. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg, thyme and the remaining melted butter.

6. With a blender, crush everything into a homogeneous mass. Chopped nuts, sun-dried tomatoes or olives can be added to the finished pate.

7. We prepare the pate without preservatives, so it is stored for 4-5 days. To last longer - 10 days, the pate can be poured with melted butter.
