Let's prepare Tom Yum soup, an appetizing and incredibly tasty dish, traditional in Thailand and Laos. You can serve the soup with steamed long-grain rice. You can prepare the soup using fish or chicken broth. For the classic recipe we will use shrimp, but you can use different types of seafood or even chicken. For the recipe, you can use enoki mushrooms, but if you do not find such mushrooms, feel free to replace them with champignons, since these mushrooms do not have a rich taste, but rather more neutral. There are no analogues to this soup in our kitchen, but the ingredients for the soup can now be purchased at any supermarket, so let's prepare this incredibly tasty soup and immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of Thailand.

How to make

1. Prepare all the ingredients.

2. We use already prepared fish broth. Pour the broth into a saucepan and add the lime peel and ginger (galangal). Boil the broth for 15 minutes, then strain and return to the pot.

3. After a while, add crushed mushrooms to the broth.

4. Immediately add fish sauce. The amount of fish sauce needs to be adjusted, but do not forget that the sauce is quite salty. Boil the soup for 1-2 minutes.

5. Next, prepare the shrimp. Peel all the shrimp. Cut the tomatoes in half.

6. Now add shrimp to the soup. Bring to a boil, cook for no more than two minutes so that the shrimp does not become rubbery.

7. Then add tom yum paste to the soup and bring to a boil.

8. Immediately add cherry tomatoes to the soup.

9. Pour coconut milk into the soup. If you use coconut cream, add 2-3 tablespoons. Mix everything and remove the soup from the heat.

10. Add lime juice or lemon juice to the soup.

11. Serve the finished soup immediately. When serving, steamed rice, chili, spicy sauce can be added.
