How to make

1. Put the egg yolks, lemon juice and sugar in a container or bowl of the food processor (if you use a mixer).

2. Beat the yolks with sugar and lemon juice until bubbles form.

3. Continuing to beat, pour in the oil. Pour oil in a thin stream in 10-15 seconds.

4. With a spatula, scrape off the mayonnaise from the sides of the dish or bowl. Add salt, pepper and beat the mayonnaise to the desired consistency.

5. If homemade mayonnaise is thicker than you wanted, add a spoonful of hot water and whisk.
